Family Focus places children who have been enrolled by their home counties in one of our programs. These children are:

Family Focus provides the mandated National Training and Development Curriculum (NTDC) for families who wish to foster and adopt, which we have enhanced with our own adoption-specific philosophies.

For families seeking certification from Family Focus, we have developed Beyond The Culture. BTC is an in-person weekend retreat of specialized capstone training that goes into the depths of what it takes to successfully adopt one of the children in our programs.

Transition is the time between when a family and child meet to when they finalize their adoption. At Family Focus we recognize that a child needs to be empowered to make decisions about their own adoption, and must have protection, support, and control.

Our unique and innovative Empowered Transition provides children and families a step-by-step process that puts them on a path toward a successful adoption. The process is detailed in our booklet, which you can download HERE.

The Adoption Covenants are documents that were created by Family Focus to recognize a family’s decision to unconditionally commit to one another – first for an adult becoming a parent to a child, and then for that child accepting the promises the adult has made.

The Covenants are written, and an adoption ceremony is held at the completion of the transition process. While these Covenants have no legal status, they have great emotional resonance and meaning to everyone who has ever witnessed the Adoption Covenant ceremony.
